In December 2006, a base leader in Zambia, Elizabeth Mbewe, died suddenly of a rare condition which could not be treated because of a lack of basic health care. She was a single mother of three and, among her many leadership responsibilities, cared for more than 100 orphans.

March 14, 2008 - 11:14am — G Stephen GoodeOn December 24th, Elisabeth Mbewe, the leader of the Chipata, Zambia YWAM Center, died suddenly of suspected complications from anemia. She was a single mother with three children, a foster mother, and was also responsible for a community school ministry which catered for over 100 underprivileged children. She is dearly missed by family, friends and co-workers.
