Tutorial - Editing a memorial page

Any registered user can edit a previously created memorial page. If you want to add some information to a person's biography, or want to help edit spelling and grammar errors, then feel free to edit any memorial page.

Please do not remove relevant information from a biography for no reason. The biography is a collection of how various people remember the person, and is there to create a picture of the life that they lived, and the person that they were. Each part of the biography is part of how someone remembers that person, so unless it is inappropriate please do not remove large amounts of a biography.

To edit a memorial page:

Step 1:
When you are viewing the memorial page that you wish to edit, click on the "edit" link (located underneath the blue header bar which has their name).

Step 2:
You are given the options to edit their name, the year they died, and their biography. Please only edit their name and year of death if the information is incorrect. To edit the biography, simply type in the biography box. You are given the options to use Bold, Italic and other effects on the text in the grey box at the bottom of the text box.

Step 3:
Once you have finished your edit, go down to the bottom of the page, and click on "Preview" if you want to preview how your edits will look, or click on "Submit" to submit the changes. All edits are recorded and tracked, so we can revert back to a previous version of a memorial page before it was edited in case of a mistake or inappropriate edits.

Note: YWAM Memorial is a user-fed and user-edited site. All information that you enter will be available to anyone who visits the site. Also any registered user can edit the biography on a memorial page as well as their own comments to a memorial page. Thanks for your participation in honoring and remembering those on this site.  Please let us know how we can improve YWAM-Memorial.
