Our hope is that this site will have a memorial page for every YWAMer that has given their life serving God with this mission. If you wish to create a new page for someone that doesn't already have a page setup for them, then this is how you do it. However, please make sure that there isn't already a memorial page for that person, check using the search function and browse under the 'Memorial' section to be sure.
Step 1:
In the right column of this webpage, in your 'Toolbox' menu, click on "Create Memorial Page".
Step 2:
On this page you will now see three main input boxes. Firstly, enter in the persons name in the appropriate field. Please make sure you enter in their full name (first name and surname), and make sure you spell their name correctly. If you are unsure of their surname, or the correct spelling of their name, please check first before you create a memorial page for them. For names that are not in english, please enter in the correct english version of their name. In the future there will be functions for multiple languages, but for now please enter their name in english.
Step 3:
Select the year that they passed away from the drop-down menu.
Step 4:
Write a brief biography about them in the biography section. Try to keep this short and highlighting who the person was, and how God shone through their life and used them. We ask that you leave personal comments out of the biography section, and leave your personal comments in the comments section on their page (once it has been created).
Step 5:
If you have some photos of them, you can upload them in the "Upload Photos" section of the page. If you don't have any then they can be uploaded at a later stage.
Step 6:
Once you have completed these steps, click on the "Submit" button at the end of the page, and the memorial page is created!
Note: YWAM Memorial is a user-fed and user-edited site. All information that you enter will be available to anyone who visits the site. Also any registered user can edit the biography on a memorial page as well as their own comments to a memorial page. Thanks for your participation in honoring and remembering those on this site. Please let us know how we can improve YWAM-Memorial.
